The terms that apply to registrations, attendance, changes, recordings and conduct at CAQA Events conferences, summits, workshops and online events.
These Event Terms apply to webinars, workshops, conferences, summits, awards events, professional development sessions and online or face-to-face events delivered by CAQA Events. They cover registration, payment, attendance, substitutions, cancellations, rescheduling, recordings, event materials, speaker or program changes, attendee conduct and accessibility support. CAQA Events is part of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International initiative. By registering for, attending or participating in one of our events, you agree to these Event Terms, our Code of Conduct and our Photography and Media Consent notice.
CAQA Events produces conferences, summits, forums, awards nights and professional programs for the education, training, compliance, business and government communities. Typical attendees include RTO owners and managers, compliance and quality assurance staff, trainers and assessors, higher education professionals, association members, sponsors and exhibitors. We also plan and produce events on behalf of client organisations. Where a client organisation is the named host of an event, the host may apply additional or alternative terms, and this will be stated on the event page, invitation or registration form.
Registration for each event is made through the registration pathway shown on the relevant event page, invitation or registration form. A registration is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from us or from the registration platform used for that event. You are responsible for providing accurate registration details, including your name, organisation, contact details and any access or dietary requirements. Places are limited for most events and are allocated in order of confirmed registration.
No payments are processed directly through this website. This website describes our events and services and collects enquiries and registrations of interest only. Where an event carries a ticket or registration fee, payment is taken through the dedicated registration platform for that event or by invoice issued by Career Calling International Pty Ltd, and the applicable fee, inclusions and payment terms are stated at the point of registration. Ticket prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise.
If you can no longer attend an event, you may transfer your ticket to a colleague from the same organisation at no charge, provided you notify us before the event starts with the substitute attendee's name and contact details. Requests to transfer a registration to a different event are treated as a cancellation and rebooking and are handled under our Ticket Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Event programs are published in good faith. We may vary the program, running order, session times, speakers, MCs, panellists or venue where circumstances require, including speaker illness, travel disruption, venue availability or safety considerations. Where a material change is made, we will tell registered attendees as early as practicable. A change of speaker, session or room within the same event does not, of itself, entitle an attendee to a refund. If an event is cancelled, postponed or moved online, the options available to you are set out in our Ticket Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Some events are delivered online or in hybrid format. Access links are issued to the registered attendee and must not be shared. You are responsible for your own device, browser and internet connection; published technical requirements should be checked before the event. Session times are stated in the time zone shown on the event page. If we experience a platform failure on our side that prevents delivery of a substantial part of an online event, we will offer a recording, a repeat session or a remedy under our Ticket Cancellation and Refund Policy.
Sessions may be recorded, photographed or live-streamed, as explained in our Photography and Media Consent notice. Where recordings, slides or other materials are made available to attendees, they are provided for the personal professional use of the registered attendee and must not be resold, republished or distributed outside your organisation without written permission. Copyright in event materials remains with CAQA Events, the presenter or the relevant rights holder.
All attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and contractors must follow our Code of Conduct and the reasonable directions of event staff and venue personnel. We may refuse entry to, or remove from an event, any person who behaves in an unsafe, unlawful, harassing or seriously disruptive manner, without refund where the removal is reasonably justified.
Event content, including presentations, panel discussions and materials, is general professional information prepared for a broad audience. It is not legal, financial or regulatory advice, and it does not take account of the circumstances of any particular organisation. Decisions of regulators, funding bodies and other authorities remain matters for those bodies, and attendance at an event does not guarantee any compliance, audit, registration or business outcome.
Registration details, dietary and access requirements, and attendance records are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Where an event is sponsored, we will tell you at registration if attendee details are to be shared with a sponsor and give you a choice wherever practicable.
