The standards of behaviour expected of attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and staff at CAQA Events conferences, summits and online events.
This Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected at every event delivered by CAQA Events, part of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International initiative. Our conferences, summits, workshops, awards nights and online sessions bring together educators, compliance professionals, business leaders, government representatives, students and suppliers. Everyone attending is entitled to a professional, safe and welcoming environment, and this code explains what we expect and what happens when expectations are not met.
This code applies to all event participants, including attendees, speakers, MCs, panellists, sponsors, exhibitors, contractors, volunteers, media representatives and CAQA Events staff. It applies at event venues, in official social functions connected to an event, on online event platforms, and in event-related communication channels such as event apps, chat and Q&A tools.
The same standards apply when an event is delivered online or in hybrid format. Participants must use their own registered access, display an accurate name, and keep chat, Q&A and breakout discussion professional and on topic. Moderators may remove messages, mute participants or disconnect anyone whose behaviour breaches this code, and repeated breaches may result in loss of access to the event without refund under our Event Terms.
Where an event includes awards, judging or competitions, participants must not attempt to improperly influence judges, misrepresent achievements or denigrate other entrants. Concerns about the integrity of an awards process should be raised with event staff or through the contact pathway below.
If you experience or witness behaviour that may breach this code, you can speak to any CAQA Events staff member at the event, ask at the registration desk for the event manager, email info@caqa.com.au, call 1800 266 160, or use our contact page. Reports are handled discreetly, and we will not disadvantage anyone for raising a genuine concern. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact venue security or emergency services on 000 first.
CAQA Events may take any action it considers reasonable and proportionate in response to a breach of this code, including a private warning, a request to leave a session, removal from the event without refund, exclusion from future events, notification to a participant's employer or sponsoring organisation where appropriate, and referral to police or regulators for unlawful conduct. Sponsors and exhibitors who breach this code may also have their sponsorship or exhibition arrangements suspended or terminated in accordance with the Sponsorship and Exhibitor Terms.
This code operates alongside our Event Terms, Photography and Media Consent notice and Privacy Policy. Personal information collected in connection with a conduct report is handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
